Chris Daley
Chris Daley founded Lodestone Systems in 1990. He brings over 40 years of experience working with a wide variety of people, companies, non-profits and technologies.
Chris received his degree in Computer Science from California Stats University, Chico. Since then he has founded 3 companies and worked for a wide variety of companies, from small office equipment dealers to consulting firms and large corporations.
His hardware experience includes everything from mainframes to mini-computers to PC’s to today’s Internet and personal devices. He has a special place in his heart for PDP-8 and HP-3000 computers. And does not miss coax based LAN networks at all.
Chris has worked with a wide variety of computer languages, operating systems and data storage schemes. Currently he mainly uses PHP, JavaScript, MariaDB (MySQL) and WordPress.
He was an early adopter of the Internet, launching his first web sites in 1996, his first web server in 2000 and his own e-commerce web site framework – SiteWizard. A firm believer in Open Source software, Chris runs his servers under AMP – Apache, PHP, MairaDB – along with BIND, hMailServer and Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates.
Over the years, he has created and worked with software for accounting & payroll, manufacturing and newspaper automation, large resource sites, and numerous e-commerce, registration and fundraising sites.
In addition to his “day job”, Chris works as an A/V person, building & running sound systems and creating & restoring videos. And he volunteers with groups working with various at-risk populations.
